Expertise

David has extensive experience as a Deputy High Court Judge, trying clinical negligence, personal injury and professional negligence claims, alongside an outstanding practice, recognised by the Directories for these areas.

David’s practice has always involved representing claimants and defendants.  With his many years’ experience as a KC and an impressive record as Deputy High Court Judge, David brings formidable expertise to his role as Evaluator for IE.

David was an early adopter of ADR.  He became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and an Accredited Mediator, earlier in his career.  However, his interest lies in the optimal resolution via Evaluation and Facilitation.

David is now at the forefront of the evolution of Early Neutral Evaluation.  As part of that process, in December 2022, David was a guest speaker with the Master of Rolls at the University of Leicester Law Department’s ADR conference.

David brings all his experience, both from the Bar and Bench, into Evaluation & Facilitation.  He has been incredibly successful in helping parties resolve disputes without trials, and consequently established a significant following of both claimant firms and insurers wanting him to Evaluate their disputes.
